RUTLAND -- Paxton Reed scored early in the second half, assisted by Isaiah Ungerleider, to give the Brattleboro boys soccer team a 1-0 victory over Rutland on Saturday.

"It was a very pretty goal," said BUHS coach Paul Sather. "Isaiah led him behind the defense and he hit a nice, low shot."

Galen Finnerty earned the shutout in goal. And Jordan Renouf played well defensively for the winners.

"I thought we played well defensively the whole game. It’s always tough to win there (Rutland)," added Sather.

The 3-2 Colonels will host rival MAU tonight.
