CASTLETON -- Zack Howe of Bellows Falls, Vernon’s Corey Serviss and Brattleboro’s Andy Hale are all playing for the Castleton State College football team, which will host Mount Ida College on Saturday at noon with the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference league title on the line.

Springfield’s Brandon Boyle has racked up 1,349 receiving yards and caught 17 TD strikes this season. Quarterback Shane Brozowski has thrown 31 touchdown passes, including one to Howe.

The Spartans went 7-2 during their first nine games, with victories over Plymouth State, SUNY-Maritime, Norwich, Becker, Anna Maria, Gallaudet and Husson. Mount Ida (7-2) has wins over Mass.-Dartmouth, Plymouth State, Norwich, Anna Maria, Husson, Maritime and Becker.

Scott Drosendahl has thrown 26 touchdowns and 10 interceptions for Mount Ida this season. Jordan Hyman and Dejhaun Williams are the top receivers for the Mustangs with nine and seven TD’s respectively. Chris McNally leads their ground attack by averaging 107.2 rushing yards per game.
