BRATTLEBORO -- Gymnasts from Woodman Athletics competed over the weekend at the Green Mountain Invitational in Williston. Green Mountain Gymnastics hosted the meet run by Vermont Gymnastics.

Woodman’s Level 4 Team took second in the team competition. "The girls took first as a team on three out of four events. We have a solid level 4 team this year -- they just need to hit their routines on every event to be on top," said coach Keri Woodman.

Courtney Solomon and Sara Perrin competed in the Level 4 Junior A age division. Solomon took bronze on vault with an 8.95 and bronze on beam with an 8.5. Brianna Paul and Tula Campman both had good showings in the Junior B age division. Campman took bronze on bars with a 9.0 and Paul captured gold on both vault and floor with a 9.35 on vault and a 9.25 on floor. Paul’s 9.25 on floor was the highest score of any level 4 in any age division in the entire meet.

Julia Angell, Kate Perrin and Challie Vicary competed in the Senior A age division. Angell took silver on vault with a 9.35, bronze on bars with a 9.025, and silver on floor with a 9.075 to earn her silver medal in the all-around with an all-around score of 35.9. Vicary grabbed silver on bars with a 9.05 and bronze on beam with an 8.925. Pooja Meyer, Ellie Flynn, Ivy Dall, Heidi Fales, and Sarah Gallagher represented Woodman Athletics in the Senior B age division. Flynn took silver on bars with a 9.

025 and bronze on beam with a 9.15 to earn her silver medal in the all-around with a 36.125. Teammate Ivy Dall took silver on vault with a 9.35 and teammate Sarah Gallagher took bronze on bars with an 8.95.

Woodman’s Level 5 Team took silver in the team competition. Althea Champion captured gold in the individual all-around in the Senior A age division with an impressive 36.2. Champion also took silver on bars with a 9.225 and bronze on beam with a 9.15. Audrey Lamorder and Lillie Richards also competed in the Senior A age division.

Lamorder took gold on floor with a 9.225. Teammate Nicolette Rivas captured gold in the all-around in the Senior B age division with a 36.15. Rivas also took silver on vault with an 8.85, bronze on bars with a 9.1, bronze on beam with a 9.15, and silver on floor with a 9.05. Kendall Solomon, Sarah Williams, and Sawyer Beauchamp also competed in the Senior B age division. Solomon was a force to be reckoned with taking silver on vault with an 8.85, gold on bars with a 9.25, and gold on floor with a 9.1 to earn her the bronze in the all-around with a 35.4. Williams took bronze on vault with an 8.75. Leila Young, Loren Pike, and Maeve Smith were also part of the 2nd place team.

Woodman’s Level 6 team, made up of Cassidy Gallivan, Carly Gallivan, Amelia Goldberg, and Moriah Pabo all had impressive performances. Cassidy Gallivan took silver on vault in the Junior A age division with a 9.3. In the Junior B age division Amelia Goldberg also took silver on vault with a 9.25. In the Senior A age division, Moriah Pabo took bronze on vault with a 9.15, and bronze on bars with an 8.55.

Janie Hawthorne and Sarah Young represented Woodman Athletics Level 7 team. Hawthorne took gold on bars with a 9.2 and bronze on floor with a 9.1 to earn her a bronze medal in the all-around with a 33.675. Hawthorne’s 9.2 on bars was the highest score of any level 7 in any age division. Young took bronze on beam with a 7.55.

Woodman’s only level 9, Nenah Fitch, stuck her beam routine and took silver on the event with a 7.875. Fitch also took bronze on bars with a 7.9 and bronze on vault with an 8.6. Fitch’s vault was just .075 away from 1st.

Woodman Athletics had only one competitor in the Excel program in attendance. Elena Tansley captured all-around gold in the Excel Platinum division. Tansley also took gold on beam with a 9.3, silver on floor with a 9.3, bronze on bars with an 8.95, and bronze on vault with an 8.325.

The Woodman Athletics’ Gymnastics Team is coached by Keri Woodman, Karen Gallivan, and Paul Bloomer.

Woodman Athletics is located at 155 Chickering Drive in Brattleboro and offers classes and open gyms for all ages in gymnastics, parkour, x-training for skiers and snowboarders, rock climbing, trampoline, and Zumba.
