BRATTLEBORO -- In Div. 2 mens hoops action, DMI got past Perra Law Office, 70-64, on Friday night, with Marshall Gilbert leading the team with 17 points.
DMI's Todd Roach and team manager Ryan Powers each scored 13 points on the evening, while Adam Newton had 12. Lance Cutler and Alex Wright chipped in with six points apiece.
Jarrod James gave Perra Law 21 points (including four 3's), Rich Perra racked up 17, and Jamie Garfield came through with 13 points.
Walker Farm 60, Rice Appraisal 59
The farmhands inched out a victory over Rice, in a Div. 3 game played Friday. Ernest Cepada (11 points) made the game-winning three to pull out the win, and made two others. Jesse Woosley led in points with 17, while Anthony Bishop put 8 up on the board, while Pete Stickney and Rich Korson managed 7 points.
Rich Carroll (17), Steve Kapnal (11), and Patrick Lallo (10) led Rice in points.
Cota & Cota/Brown Enterprises 80, Chad's Team 68
Jake Quinney and Winston Sailsman combined for 40 points (20 apiece) to earn a W over Chad's Team on Sunday, in a Div. 1 matchup held at Gibson-Aiken Center.
Steve Brown racked up 17 points, including a trio of 3's, while Shawn Goodell put together 12 points on the day.
Christian Corey was the bread-winner for Chad's, scoring 25 points with five 3's, four from the inside, and a few gimmes.
Sporty's/Lawton's 81, Local Sports Team 69
Kyle Bauer scored an amazing 29 points, teammates Corey Bauer and Brendon Smith each managed 17, and Kenneth Turner hit 12, to give Sporty's/Lawton's a win over Local Sports Team on Sunday.
In response to K. Bauer's run, Local's Seth Proctor went home with 24 points, while Henry Ireland (14) Joel Gould (12), and Teddy Krutson had 10 points.
UNFI 75, So. Vermont Painting & Restoration 73
UNFI inched out a win over So. Vermont Painting & Restoration, in a Div. 3 matchup played Sunday, with big man Scott Edwards putting away 33 points to lead the winners.
Brett Eastman also went to work for UNFI with 18 points, while Jim Doell had 9, and Chris French went away with 7 on the day.
Joel Porter led So. Vt. Painting with 30, Ryan Boyle grabbed 19, and Eric Boyd managed 14 points.
GSP Coatings 75, GSP 65
In game #4, GSP Coatings took it to GSP, with Ryan Washburn on the attack, scoring a team-high 23 points, Rob Rea grabbed 20, Joe Hunt had 14, and Jim Bezanson managed 10.
The GSP team was led by Eric Fellows with 15 points, and Tim Barbour, Chris Worden, and Scott Derosia racked up 10 apiece.
Basketball Joe's 73, Community High School of Vermont 69
Jake Hoak of the Basketball Joe's team put in 16 points (including four 3's), and Adam Bernier-Sontag (15) and Dan Sontag (10) provided some additional goals to give their Div. 3 team the win Sunday. Michael Fuller (three 3's) and Matt Mann each chipped in 9 points.
Greg Hecht carried CHSV with 19 points, and right behind him in scoring was Danial Santos (15), Elton Rodriguez (11), and Zane Bullins (14).
Farnum Cellulose 70, Members 1st Credit Union 62
Ian Boys brought the heat to game #6, ending his day with 27 points, while teammate Nick Crafts put away 21 (with five 3's) to carry their Farnum team to a win over Members 1st. Brian Fitzgerald added 10 points to the board for the team.
Carl Anderson (12 points), Jeremy Felton (11), and Kevin DeLaRosa (9) led for Members.
