WESTMINSTER -- Kurn Hattin Homes invites golfers of all skill levels to enjoy a fun day of golf, great food, contests and prizes while helping to improve the lives of children in need. The 22nd Annual Kurn Hattin Golf Classic will be held Wednesday, July 17 at the Keene Country Club.

The event benefits children at Kurn Hattin Homes in Westminster, a year-round home and school for boys and girls in need of temporary care as a result of family tragedy, or social or economic hardship.

Registration ($135/golfer) includes golf, cart, lunch, and dinner. There are three hole-in-one prizes: a 2013 Toyota Camry donated by Durand Toyota Ford, a $10,000 Certificate of Deposit donated by People’s United Bank, and a $5,000 gift certificate donated by MJ Harrington Jewelers. First, second, and third place tournament winners (gross and net) receive Pro Shop gift certificates for their whole team. Additional individual prizes include closest to pin and longest drive.

The day concludes with dinner and an auction, with items such as an all-inclusive trip to Puerto Rico, a Colorado ski resort package, a Boston Symphony Orchestra package, local dining and recreation packages, and more. Auction items are listed online and bidding is open to the public at kurnhattin.org/auction.

Tournament and hole sponsorship packages are available for businesses interested in supporting the event. Long-time sponsor, Steve Durand of Durand Toyota Ford said, "It’s all about the children. Kurn Hattin helps them to succeed in life. When you give kids a chance, they make the best of it."
