Twin Valley's Justin Hicks, shown taking a penalty kick during his team's Division 3 boys soccer semifinal versus Leland & Gray, was named to the Marble Valley League First Team and the All State Team.

WHITINGHAM >> Goalie Kyle Murdock (Coaches Award), Brett Swanson (Sportsmanship), DJ Lazelle (Most Improved) and Skyler Boyd (Unsung Hero) all earned awards after helping the Twin Valley varsity boys soccer team to the Division 3 state final.

The Wildcats, who were coming off of consecutive perfect seasons, ended up with a 15-2-1 record. They outscored their opposition by a combined 35-8 during the regular season, earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament and eventually lost to Stowe 4-0 in the championship game.

Twin Valley's Nick Nilsen, Justin Hicks and Troy Felisko were all named to the Marble Valley League's First Team and also to the All State Team while Boyd, Swanson and Murdock all made the MVL Second Team.

Keeper Brianna Rafus made the MVL First Team for the Twin Valley varsity girls soccer team, which went 4-11-1 overall. Earning awards for the Lady Wildcats were: Hailey Howe (Coaches Award), Kaylea Niles (Golden Boot), Kendell Howe (Defensive Player of the Year), Jarrett Niles (Rookie of the Year) and Jordyn Bolognani (Most Improved).

The Twin Valley junior varsity boys soccer awards went to Hayden Reed (Best Offensive), Travis Betit (Best Defensive) and Josh Carpenter-O'Hearn (Most Improved).
