BRATTLEBORO — In women's basketball league action at the Gibson-Aiken Center on Monday, Chroma edged The Marina 43-40 and Houghton handled Lawrence & Lober 37-29. The Marina's Ashley Gomarlo (26 points), Chroma's Molly Brunelle (20), Houghton's Kate Margaitis (14) and Lawrence & Lober's Christina Hamm (13) were the high scorers for their team.

In men's league contests on Sunday, Southern Vermont Painting scored a high of 100 points and Chroma's stingy defense held Rice to a low of 65 points. Dixon's Ryan Boyle (28 points), Brattleboro Ford/Subaru's Ryan Bauer (20), GSP's Ezra Gosselin (20), Procut Lawncare's Tyler Clews (26), Chroma's Lynden Bunker (21), Rice's Patrick Lallo (22), the Maullers' Kyle Whitworth (34), DMI's Amos Ireland (18) and Josh Barthamule (18) were the top guns.

On Friday, Al's Towing defeated Vermont Pressure Wash Painting 57-48 in a men's league game. Ryan McClelland, Seth Deyo, Ian Deyo and Corey Gilbert all delivered twice from beyond the arc for the winners, and Mike Dixon scored a game-high 15 points for the painters.
