BRATTLEBORO >> Arianna Harrison, of Vernon, is averaging 13.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game during her sophomore season with the Norwich University women's basketball team.

The 2014 Brattleboro Union High School graduate went off for 32 points in her team's 71-61 loss to Johnson State College on Dec. 2. She has also scored in double figures versus Washington College, Manhattanville, Lyndon State, Bay Path, Trinity, and Fort Kent.

Harrison has started all 10 games this season for the Cadets. She is playing 32.3 minutes per game and has made 74 percent of her free throws.

The 6-4 Cadets will play at Castleton State College on Saturday at 1 p.m.

During her senior season at BUHS, Harrison's teammates were Kayla Savage, Megan Siggins, Daisy Giroux, Aidan Early, Abbie Lesure, Maddy Derosia, Taylor Bird, Meghan Powell, Katie Damian, Nina Goodhue and Emily Rounds.

"She is a force under the hoop," said BUHS coach Paul Freed prior to his super center's final high school basketball season.

Harrison scored a team-high 21 points when the Colonels rallied from a 15-point deficit to beat Burr and Burton in a first-round playoff game in 2014. She scored 12 of Brattleboro's last 16 points in that thriller.
