BRATTLEBORO >> Twin Valley point guard Justin Hicks scored a game-high 17 points to lead the South to an 86-75 victory over the North in Saturday's VBCA Division 3-4 Senior Boys All-Star Basketball Game in Windsor.

Hicks averaged 8.6 points, 5.0 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Wildcats, who went 16-6 this season. In postseason games against Peoples Academy and Hazen, he scored 12 and six points respectively.

In the other contests on Saturday, the South won the Division 3-4 girls game 61-54 and the Division 1-2 boys game 96-91. The North took the Division 1-2 girls showdown, 63-46.

Brattleboro's Dylan DeJordy won the 3-point shooting contest by knocking down 20 trifectas, Twin Valley's Skyler Boyd was named to a Dream Dozen Team, and Twin Valley varsity girls basketball coach Buddy Hayford was honored for his 400th career victory. Other area players that competed in the annual event were Twin Valley's Kirra Courchesne and DJ Lazelle, and Brattleboro center Josh Hanson.

Jonas Parker of MAU led all scorers with 16 points in the Division 1-2 boys game. The other top guns on the day were CVU's Laurel Jaunich (11 points) in the Division 1-2 girls game, Enosburg's Emilee Bose (15 points) in the Division 3-4 girls game, and Hicks.
