BRATTLEBORO — The Brattleboro Union High School varsity boys lacrosse team outscored Keene, 9-8, under the lights at Natowich Field.

The Colonels broke out to an early 2-0 lead, but the Blackbirds recovered to tie the game before the half at 6-6. The teams played an even third quarter, with Matt Gaboriault's goal at the 6:53 mark of the fourth quarter being the difference.

Gaboriault finished the night with two goals and one assist, and was joined in the scoring column by Evan Perkins (3 goals), Jack Gagnon (2 goals), Zeb Lesure (1 goal) and Declan Lonergan (1 goal). Alex Fitch, Durin Hoyer and Gagnon had assists.

Goalie Kolton Ravenna made a dozen stops for the 2-6 Colonels, who will play at Marble Valley League rival Woodstock on Friday.
