WESTMINSTER >> The Bellows Falls varsity boys tennis team swept the singles matches on Tuesday and bested visiting Fair Haven, 5-2.
Simon Bupp-Chickering, Franco Marengo, Quinn Lambert, Poe Terena and Cooper Stafford all picked up a win for the hosts. The Terriers finished the season with a 2-10-1 record.
"The Terriers are a young squad and are looking forward to next season," said BF coach David Chesley.
Brattleboro 5, MAU 2
BENNINGTON >> The Colonels followed up a 10-1 rout of their rivals on Monday with another victory over Mount Anthony Union on Tuesday.
A day after he went 3 for 4, Brattleboro catcher Dan Petrie drove in a run to give the purple and white a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Leif Bigelow and Chris Hall also contributed with hits as the visitors increased their advantage to 4-0.
"We wanted to get out to a quick start and get some runs on the board," said Brattleboro coach Chris Groeger, whose team improved to 10-3. "They mishandled some balls and mixed with a hit here or there, we took advantage."
Mount Everett 4, Twin Valley 3
SHEFFIELD, MASS. >> Chris Robinson, James McGovern, Joey Rafus and Kyle Murdock took turns pitching for the Wildcats on Tuesday.
"The four pitchers we used did a great job hitting their spots," stated Twin Valley coach Brian Monroe. "We will look to continue improving and gain more confidence at the plate moving forward."
Justin Hicks, Kyle Lazelle and McGovern all scored once for the 5-6 Wildcats, who will host Green Mountain on Friday.
MAU 10, Brattleboro 4
BENNINGTON >> Taylor DiCranian (2 K's, 0 BB, 5 hits) went the distance for the win on Tuesday as the Patriots improved to 11-1 overall.
Kaidin Gauthier homered and belted a pair of doubles to lead the winners. Kori Bow drove in four runs and DiCranian went 2 for 4.
The Colonels dropped to 8-4 on the season.
TRACK AND FIELD
BRATTLEBORO >> The Brattleboro boys and girls placed first and second respectively at Tuesday's eight-school meet on the Freeman Track.
Jasper Reed won the 100, 200, long jump and triple jump to lead the BUHS boys. Isiah Gilbeau (shot put and javelin), John Lonardo (discus), Orion Stone (110 hurdles), Jonah Goldenbird (pole vault), and the 4x100 relay team of Tyler Clement, Liam Reynolds, Goldenbird and Stone also struck gold.
Kira Boucher took the triple jump and Kai Boyd won the javelin to pace the Brattleboro girls. Sarah Gallagher was second in the 1500 and third in the 800.
For the Twin Valley boys, Skyler Boyd won the 300 hurdles and took second in the high jump. Caitlin Hunt was seventh in the triple jump for the Wildcat girls.

BRATTLEBORO >> In a thrilling game, the Athletics came back to beat the Giants 10-6. The late rally was keyed by a game tying double from Alex Bingham. Keagan Systo and Brandon Weeks each had two hits for the A's, who ran their record to 6-0. The Giants strong game was highlighted by Sam Hall's three hits including a towering home run over the center field wall. Forrester Avard started for the Giants and allowed only one run. He helped his own cause with a first inning RBI double.
