WINCHESTER, N,H, >> Vernon's Pat Houle won the Lightning Stocks race on Saturday night at Monadnock Speedway.

Houle and Richard Whipple battled up front early, but Houle took over the lead seven laps in and took the checkered flag 18 laps later. Hinsdale's Tim Leblanc, who tangled with Whipple and rubbed the back wall with two laps remaining, wound up third.

Solomon Brow, of Vernon, was the runner-up in the Mini Stocks heat. Matt Kimball finished first, Eric Pomasko took third, Alex Pearl ended up fourth and Louis Maher placed fifth.

Mike O'Sullivan prevailed in the Granite State Pro Stocks 100. Also entering victory lane were: Jaret Curtis (Young Guns), Paul Smith (Thunder Stocks), Dennis Stange (Super Stocks) and Bill Kimball (Sportsman Modified).

On Saturday night, Sportsman Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Lightning Stocks, Young Guns and Star Antique racing will all be on the card at Monadnock Speedway. The racing will begin at 6 p.m. The general admission prices are: Adults — $15, Seniors and College Students — $10, Ages 13-18 — $5, and ages 12 and under — free.
