MANCHESTER — On Saturday, the Brattleboro Swim Team was defeated by Manchester 461-390.
Drew Brooks won the 200 IM, 200 Free, 100 Fly and 100 Free to lead the Brattleboro boys. Kennedy Taylor (25 Free, 25 Fly, 25 Breast, 50 Free) and Catey Yost (50 Free, 200 Free, 50 Breast, 100 Free) each won four events for the Brattleboro girls.
Racking up three blue ribbons were BST's Jordy Allembert, Isabelle Magbie, Yaya Cooper, Phelan Muller, Will Hill and Kali Taylor. Ty Allembert, Ernie Antonucci, Cam Wright, Willa Redden, Hazel Reeder, Luke Rizio and Brandan Dulmaine all struck gold twice. Zenia Muhammad, Parker Thibault and Matthew Gordon-Macey all won one event for the visitors.
Brattleboro will compete at Rockingham today at 5 p.m. in the Last Chance Meet.
Saxtons River Pirates
WILLIAMSTOWN >> The Saxtons River Pirates dropped their final games of the regular season to the Barre Braves, losing 2-0 and 14-5.
In the defensive struggle, Barre hurler Josh Kenison went up against Pirates pitcher Davis Guyer. James Lugo had two of the three hits for Saxtons River.
In Game 2, Barre's Jeff Savage finished with four hits and five runs driven in. Zach Hale racked up two hits to pace the Bucs, who ended up with a 5-22 record.
WILMINGTON >> The 27th annual Deerfield Valley Soccer Camp will be held this summer from Aug. 1-5. Camp is held daily from 9 a.m. to noon at the Old School in Wilmington and is open to boys and girls entering grades 1-9. There is also a kindergarten session which runs from 9-10:30 a.m. Campers are separated according to their grade: Grades 1-2; Grades 3-4; and Grades 5-9 all play in their own groups. The camp staff includes former and current Twin Valley High School players as well as college players and is directed by head coach Buddy Hayford. All campers receive a camp T-shirt, hand stitched ball, team photo and a mid-morning cold snack.
All youngsters are provided with instruction on the basic techniques and tactics of the game. This instruction includes an introduction to goalkeeping. The daily schedule includes small sided soccer matches and fun-filled games. Special events such as the carnival and world cup tournament are also included.

Football and Cheer Camp
WESTMINSTER >> The Jim Tully Football and Cheerleader Camp will run from Aug. 8-12 on Hadley Field at Bellows Falls Union High School from 5:30-7:30 each night. It is open to ages 8-14 or grades 3-8. There is no camp on Aug. 11, but CVPWFL sign-ups will be held at 5:30 p.m. at BFUHS on that day.
Football players attending must wear shorts, t-shirts and sneakers (cleats are optional). Cheerleaders must wear shorts/sweatpants, t-shirts and sneakers.
The instruction will be given by coaches who have coached at different levels of football and cheerleading, from high school to college.
The cost per child to participate is $20. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and pizza will be provided by Athens Pizza on Friday night. Camp registration will be held on Aug. 8 at 4:30 p.m. or pre-register at www.cvpwfl.com.
Children from anywhere may attend this camp and are encouraged to do so since the football season is close.
