Elkanah Linder, of Townshend, was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week after going 6-0 on the court for the University of the Sciences women's tennis team. She picked up three victories in the No. 2 singles spot and three more at first doubles.

The U Sciences sophomore was named team MVP during all four of her tennis seasons at Vermont Academy. She also played soccer, basketball and ran cross country at VA.

Elkanah is the daughter of Moss and Elizabeth Linder. Both of her parents played tennis in college: Moss at Wesleyan and Elizabeth at Pomona.
