BRATTLEBORO >> Bellows Falls Union High School's Caleb Lisai received a record 147 total votes to earn Reformer Athlete of the Week honors for Sept. 3-10.
The senior quarterback completed 5 of 6 passes for 82 yards and a touchdown when the Terriers trounced rival Springfield, 42-6, in the annual Trophy Game. He then threw for 139 yards and two scores as the Terriers topped Mount Abe, 39-12, in Week 2.
Lisai's prize is two free passes to Brattleboro Bowl for a night of Cosmic Bowling, which is held on Friday and Saturday evenings from 9-11. The question is, how many strikes can the accurate signal-caller bowl under the lights with music playing in the background?
Also getting votes were Hinsdale soccer player Jen Matuszewski (99), Leland & Gray soccer player Ashley Bates (85), Twin Valley soccer player Gunnar Nilsen (37) and Brattleboro cross-country runner Isaac Freitas-Eagan (36).
"Jen Mat is a wonderful person and I'm glad to know her," noted Abby Holmes when filling out her ballot.
