26 people compete in Fun Run
BRATTLEBORO -- Tim Fleming, Katherine Innis, Clint Joslyn and Glenn Gilligan were the winners of Wednesday’s Red Clover Rovers Fun Runs on Upper Dummerston Road.
Fleming put the hammer down and took the one-mile race in an eye-popping 5:36. He was followed home by the always smiling Cadance Gilbert (9:15), Emily Worden (9:33), Archer Parks (11:23), four-year-old Matthew Worden (11:48), Lori Worden (11:50) and 5-year-old Peyton Joslyn (13:28).
Innis ran away to victory in the two-miler in a time of 14:01. Jace Joslyn, 8, earned the silver medal with a 25:12 clocking.
A dozen people entered the three-mile race, which turned into a battle between winner Clint Joslyn (17:42) and runnerup Dan Barile (18:14). Also competing were: Patrick Gilligan (20:07), Conor Patrick O’Donnell (21:05), Bob Parks (21:26), Bill Dixon (21:26), Brian Lashway (21:54), Doug Rogers (21:57), Eric Evans (23:43), Angella Joslyn (23:55), Jeffrey Kahler (25:51) and Scott Hamm (26:27).
The 2.4-mile trail race went to Gilligan, who finished in 20:23. Rounding out the field were Chuck Adams (21:23), Chris Ekbrom (22:38), Suzanne Basley (22:38) and Cathy Coutu (29:15).
There are three Fun Runs remaining and those will take place on Aug. 7, Aug. 21 and Sept. 4. They will all begin at 6:30 p.m. on Upper Dummerston Road, near the Country Club entrance.
