$4,000 piccolo stolen from Vermont music school


WESTON (AP) - Authorities say a $4,000 piccolo has been stolen from a music school in Weston.

Police say the William S. Haynes piccolo was stolen in its case from the library at the Kin Haven Music School in Weston. The theft was believed to have taken place the night of June 18 or the morning of June 19.

Police said the owner of the piccolo is 62-year-old Peter Schultz of Exeter, N.H., who is chairman of the music department at Phillips Exeter Academy.

State Police say anyone with information on what happened can call 875-2112.
