44th Christmas at Christ Church program seeking singers

The Guilford Chamber Singers are seeking additional members for the 44th Christmas at Christ Church program on Dec. 16 and 17. This annual event includes vocal music, instrumental interludes by the Guilford Chamber Players, a holiday story read by Don McLean, and a few carols with everyone.

Director Tom Baehr of The Guilford Chamber Singers is now in his fifth year with the group. Baehr said. "Although auditions are not required, we expect some vocal experience, and the ability to read music, while welcome, is not required."

This year's program concentrates on music from the British Isles, with selections from Ireland, Wales, and England, and covers a span of four centuries. Rehearsals are in Brattleboro on Monday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m., beginning Sept. 12. For more information and to join contact Tom Baehr as soon as possible at 802-387-2796. The Friends of Music office may also be reached at 802-254-3600 or office@fomag.org.
