7 area players are MVL stars


BRATTLEBORO — After leading the Brattleboro Union High School varsity boys tennis team to a 10-3 record and the No. 6 seed in the Division 1 Tournament, Charlie La Rosa was named the Marble Valley League Coach of the Year.

Two of La Rosa's players, Oliver Goodman and Martin Sipowicz, were named MVL All-Stars. Simon Bupp-Chickering, of Bellows Falls, also made the First Team.

Claudia Craviotto, Kimberly Bau and Jazmin Smith are also MVL stars after helping the BUHS varsity girls tennis team to a 5-6 mark during the regular season. Reaghan Lapinski, who played for the Terriers, was also honored.
