American Legion to host banquet March 2 for Jim Koutz, National Commander

BRATTLEBORO -- The American Legion will host a banquet for Jim Koutz, the National Commander of the American Legion, on Saturday, March 2, at Brattleboro’s Post No. 5 at 32 Linden St.

On the menu will be hors d’oeuvers of shrimp, cheese and crackers and a vegetable platter; roast beef served with garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables, tossed salad, rolls, coffee and tea; with cheesecake with homemade whipped cream for dessert.

The Post 5 American Legion Band will be performing between 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. Happy hour will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m.

The cost will be $18 per person which will include gratuity. Checks may be made out to Brattleboro Post No. 5. For reservations, call Post 5 at 802-257-1872 or Commander Richard Guthrie at 802-254-4355.
