Anna Clark named May Elks Student of the Month at BFUHS


WESTMINSTER -- Anna Clark has been named the May Elks Student of the Month for Bellows Falls Union High School. Anna, a junior, is the daughter of Kristen Startwout and Tim Clark of Saxtons River.

A delightful young lady, Anna has been described as a stellar, extremely bright student with academic analysis and logical thought being among her greatest strengths. The type of student who has an insatiable thirst for knowledge, she is a star in all aspects of class. Also a gifted writer, she has demonstrated the unique ability to express an insightful assessment of any topic given to her. Anna is a trustworthy student who can be relied on to produce original and creative work.

Always in class and ready to participate, she is willing to take the lead in group activities and works well with others. She is well respected by her peers and the staff at BFUHS and always offers a friendly smile and a welcoming hello.

As a good role model, Anna is of upstanding character with a good work ethic. She is well grounded with a strong family foundation, sensitive to others and exhibits an excellent sense of humor. The Student of the Month Committee is impressed with her willingness to get involved and work to make BFUHS a better place as well as to help others in need. As a born leader, with a "take-charge" personality she does not wait to be asked; she sees a problem or something that needs to be done and takes initiative to do it. An active member of the school’s Student Council, she attends the weekly meetings and brings creativity to the group, along with an abundance of unique ideas, and the willingness to participate in all fundraisers and community-based activities.
