Armand Nadeau named leader of Marine Corps Detachment 798

BRATTLEBORO -- Armand Nadeau, of Hinsdale, N.H., has been elected to the top post of the Marine Corps League, Detachment 798. The detachment members meet monthly on the third Wednesday of each month at the Brattleboro American Legion on Linden Street.

Other elected officers include Anthony Previte of Marlow, Senior Vice Commandant; Scott Larabee of Vernon, Junior Vice Commandant; and Christopher Casey of Brattleboro, Judge Advocate.

Appointed officers include Doug Reed of Newfane, Adjutant; Joseph Garofalo of East Dover, Paymaster; Mark Hynes of Hinsdale, Sergeant-At-Arms; James Wall of Swanzey, Chaplain; and Richard Hodgdon of Brattleboro as Junior Past Commandant.

The detachment members conduct, in concert with its auxiliary, the annual Toys for Kids campaign, a scholarship program, participation in the Legion Honor Guard with burial ceremonies for deceased military veterans, and assistance for Marine Corps and FMF Navy veterans and their families.
