Arts Council forum on pricing is tonight

BRATTLEBORO -- The Arts Council of Windham County presents "Pricing our Work!?" -- the first in a series of ArtsWorks! Windham County forums -- on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., at The Works Café, 118 Main St.

The Arts Council of Windham County, in partnership with Brattleboro-West Arts and The Works Café, is presenting a forum to help artists make wise and appropriate decisions about pricing. Painter and printmaker William Hays, potter Matt Tell and gallery owner Elaine Beckwith will share their experience, philosophy and insights. The forum will continue with questions and peer discussion.

The forum will begin with a potluck dessert. The forum is appropriate for all artists, craftsmen and anyone interested in the topic. It is free for ACWC members, $10 for others.

Future forums include:

* March 27: Selling art from Windham County -- What works and does not work? And how to make it work better

* April 24: Breaking into Business -- Reports and learnings from the Vermont Arts Council’s training program

* May 22: Working Together -- Joys and challenges of collaborations and groups. Best practices and tips for working together creatively.
