BART Adaptive sports obtains Stewart's donation
MANCHESTER >> Bart Adaptive Sports has announced it has received a $500 grant from the Stewart's Shops Foundation. These funds will support scholarships for local youth to participate in skiing and snowboarding.
The ability to pay should not prevent the participation in outdoor recreation with the support of the Stewart's Shop Foundation this winter more local youth will be able to participate.
Bart Adaptive Sports Center, a chapter member of Disabled Sports USA and a member of the US Paralympic Sport Club with the mission to provide people with disabilities and their families the opportunity to enjoy outdoor sports, with a special focus on snow sports.
Bart Adaptive Sport Center is staffed by a network of dedicated volunteers who receive annual training to work with individuals with special needs. Over the past decade the Center has steadily grown and provides vital services to many individuals in the area.
