Bellows Falls: Ali Fox named January student of the month

BELLOWS FALLS >> Ali Fox was named the Bellows Falls Union High School January Elks Student of the Month. Ali, a junior, is the daughter of Gary and Jackie Fox of Bellows Falls.

Ali is an extremely bright student with academic analysis and logical thought being among her greatest strengths. She has an insatiable thirst for knowledge. Also a gifted writer, Ali demonstrates the unique ability to express an insightful assessment of any topic given to her.

When it comes to Ali's character and work ethic, she has done nothing but shine. She is well grounded with a strong family foundation. She is sensitive to others and exhibits an excellent sense of humor. Ali is a caring young woman who is always willing to extend her expertise to help others in need. She is a trustworthy student who can be relied on to produce original and creative work. Perhaps one of her greatest personal qualities is the unusual sense of humility that she possesses. Ali accepts praise for all of her accomplishments with modesty.

Ali is a born leader with a "take-charge" personality. She gives freely of her time to make Bellows Falls Union High School and the surrounding community a better place. An active member of the school's Student Council, Ali serves as secretary of the group's executive board. She brings creativity to the group, along with an abundance of unique ideas, and a willingness to participate in all fundraisers and community-based activities.

Impressive as well is Ali's interest in and willingness to get involved in the Experiment for International Living's student exchange program. As a member of this program, when Ali traveled to Argentina last summer she represented our country proudly. She not only thrived in this foreign environment, but upon her return this fall, she spoke at an assembly at our school to influence other students to seize such life-changing opportunities.

Clearly deserving of this award, BFUHS is proud to have Ali represent us with the award this month.
