Bellows Falls boys repeat as track champions


CHESTER -- The Bellows Falls boys track team repeated as Division 3 champions on Saturday at Green Mountain. The Terriers racked up 160 points and stood between Woodstock (91) and Thetford (66) on the podium.

David Dunbar won the 110 hurdles, high jump and long jump to lead Bellows Falls. Also striking gold were: Jamie Moore (1,500), Willie Moore (800), DJ Snide (triple jump), Kendrick Mills (pole vault), the 4x100 and 4x400 (Division 3 record) relay teams.

The Terriers actually swept the 800, with Willie Moore winning in 2:06.75, Jamie Moore next in 2:06.90 and Timmy Jones third in 2:07.53. Breaking the D-3 record in the 4x400 relay was the foursome of Jones, Moore, McAnuff and Snide.

In the girls meet, Bellows Falls scored 66 points and placed third behind Woodstock (131) and Lake Region (99). Cassidy Santorelli silvered in the pole vault and placed third in the both hurdles events to lead the Terrier girls. Anna Clark added a bronze in the 800 and 1,500.
