Bellows Falls senior struck by car

BELLOWS FALLS -- A 93-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car Friday while crossing the street in Bellows Falls.

The Bellows Falls Police Department did not release the name of the senior, who was hit while crossing the street in a marked crosswalk in front of the American Legion on Rockingham Street at around 6:24 p.m. on Dec. 7.

The police say that the driver of the car, Kathy Lane, 49, of Bellows Falls was not injured in the collision.

According to the press release the victim was treated at the scene and transported to Springfield Hospital, and later to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, for observation.

The Bellows Falls Police Department, along with the Bellows Falls Fire Department and Golden Cross Ambulance responded to the scene.

There was no more information available concerning the victim's condition.

The police are asking anyone who might have witnessed the collision to call 802-463-1234 with information.
