Bellows Falls Union High School's Design & Technology Systems Class builds bookcases for Parks Place Community Resource Center

BELLOWS FALLS >> Parks Place Community Resource Center was the recipient of two beautiful new bookcases built by the Technology Education class. Under the guidance of Michael Bennett, technology education instructor, five students worked on the project — D.J. Snide, Nick Tuttle, Shane Clark, Emily Stoddard and Reed Coursen, all Bellows Falls Union High School students in the Design and Technology Systems class who worked together to build the bookcases.

Design & Technology Systems is a project based course that introduces students to the applications of technology, its resources, systems and processes. This course has "hands-on" projects and Parks Place proudly showcases one of the courses latest projects.

Parks Place Community Resource Center is a local non-profit organization that is home to over 35 programs in health, education, employment, social justice and human service. Founded to promote collaboration, Parks Place is a "HUB" that provides a safe and accessible location where individuals can make lasting, positive changes in their lives. Parks Place serves Bellows Falls, Rockingham, Athens, Westminster, Saxtons River, Grafton, and surrounding areas in Vermont and New Hampshire.
