BELLOWS FALLS -- Activities at the Bellows Falls Area Senior Center include:

Mondays: 9 a.m., Knit and Stitch with Betty Rounds; 12:30 p.m., Chair Caning with Joanne Gay and Nancy McAuliffe; 12:30 p.m., Cribbage or Pitch.

Tuesdays: 9 and 10 a.m., Bone Builders with Janet and Joanne; 12:30 p.m., Bingo.

Wednesdays: 9 a.m., Art group meets; 12:30 p.m., King Pede. Quilters meet the first Wednesday each month with Barbara Comtois. April 24, Balance screening at the Senior Center offered by Springfield Hospital.

Thursdays: 12:30 p.m., Bridge game.

Fridays: April 24, AARP driving course. First Friday Craft Group meets each month at 10 a.m. taught by Roberta Streeter.

Upcoming trips include: "Boston Tea Party" on June 19, includes ships, museums, history, and food; Boston Pops and Vince Gill on July 7. Call the Senior Center for more information or to sign up.

Senior Center meals

The menu for the remainder of April will be:

Monday: Baked penne pasta with sausage and mozzarella cheese, coleslaw with pineapple and carrots, Italian bread, watermelon.

Tuesday: Smoked pork shoulder, rice pilaf, broccoli florets biscuit, chocolate cake.

Wednesday: Clam and potato chowder, chicken and red grape salad, crackers, tomato slices and shredded cabbage, wheat roll, frosted yellow cake.

Thursday: Beef and mushroom stroganoff, seasoned cavatappi, tossed salad with dressing, blueberry muffin, fruit cocktail.

Friday: Scalloped sliced potatoes with ham and cheddar, Oriental vegetables, dinner roll, oatmeal cookies.

April 29: Breaded chicken tenders, barbecue sauce, rice with cheese, baby carrots with dill, dinner roll, Jell-O with mandarin oranges and cream.

April 30: Hot turkey sandwich with white bread, mashed potatoes, winter blend vegetables, strawberry shortcake with cream.
