BFUHS students will attend the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont
WESTMINSTER -- Each year, students at the Bellows Falls Union High School apply for a spot at the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont. This year, seven BFUHS students have been accepted into the program. Trinna Larsen will study at the Current Issues and Youth Activism Institute at the SIT Graduate Institute, Liam Shaw will attend the Engineering Institute at University of Vermont, Ethan Illingworth and Cedar Williams will go to the Information Technology Institute at Champlain College, Aja Selbach-Broad is heading to the Arts Institute at Castleton State College and Anna Clark and Nieva Schemm will study the Asian Cultures Institute at the University of Vermont.
The Governor’s Institutes of Vermont creates fun, accelerated learning residencies on college campuses for Vermont teenagers. There are Institutes focused on Arts, Engineering, Information Technology, Environmental Science and Technology, Mathematics, Asian Cultures, and Current Issues and Youth Activism.
