Grain of the Month
The grain of the month at the Brattleboro Food Co-op is canihua. This teeny tiny grain is like quinoa, but better. Come sample great recipes using this new grain in the co-op's bulk department that contains lots of nutrients and protein in each tiny bite from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 21. Free. Zucchini cooking class
Marilyn Chiarello, educator, vegan chef and health coach, will show how to make several different recipes using zucchini, including zucchini rollups stuffed with cashew cheese, zucchini pasta with tomato sauce, and creamy kale and zucchini noodles. The class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 25, at the Brattleboro Food Co-op Cooking Classroom, 7 Canal St., Brattleboro.
Bring three small containers with lids to take some of the sauces home.
