BOC league will begin May 30

BRATTLEBORO >> The Brattleboro Outing Club is hosting a league for all tennis players: beginner, intermediate and advanced. You don't have to be a BOC tennis member to play in the league.

The league format will be five matches played in five weeks. The Brattleboro Clay Court Tennis League is composed of six divisions, with each division having members of similar skill level.

Skill levels range from beginner to advanced, and will be composed of men, women, juniors, and seniors competing against one another.

Each player is scheduled for five singles matches which will be played on a once-a-week basis at the convenience of both players, with divisional champions determined during a playoff weekend at the end of the five-week play period.

Registration for the league closes on Wednesday, May 25 and play will begin on Monday, May 30. The playoffs are scheduled for June 9. The fee for BOC members is $10 and the fee for non-members is $35.

You will be able to meet new players, compete weekly against players of equal skill, and play matches at your own convenience. For further information and registration forms, call Phil at 802-257-7345 or send an email to
