Body found near train tracks in Bellows Falls

BELLOWS FALLS — A dead body was found adjacent to the train tracks under the Arch Bridge Tuesday afternoon.

At about 4 p.m. on June 28, Vermont State Police assisted the Bellows Police Department after a body was discovered adjacent to the train tracks under the bridge. According to a witness at the scene, the body was spotted by a train conductor that afternoon.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin. According to a press release from VSP, foul play is not suspected, however the case remains under investigation.
