Boyd, Hayford to be recognized


BRATTLEBORO >> At the Senior Basketball All Star event in Windsor on March 12, Twin Valley varsity girls basketball coach Buddy Hayford will be recognized for winning 400 games and Twin Valley varsity boys basketball player Skyler Boyd will be announced as a member of the Division 3-4 Dream Dozen Team.

Other coaches that will be honored for reaching a milestone are: 100 wins — Gary Geddes of Enosburg Falls, Tim Rice of Rice, and Earl Kingsbury of Rochester; 200 wins — Dan Sleeman of MAU, Hank Tenney of Rivendell, and Bruce Mackey of Windsor; and 400 wins — Connie LaRose of Mt. Abraham, and Windsor's Harry Ladue.

Joining Boyd on the Division 3-4 Boys Dream Dozen Team are: Williamstown's Brandon Carrier, Lake Region's Riley Urie, Winooski's Eddy Lamson, Craftsbury's Austin Masi, Hazen's Denis Lecours, South Royalton's Nicholas Howe, Proctor's Nick Ojala, Twinfield's Jordan Moore, Hazen's Jake Gilcris, Rivendell's Owen Pelletier, and Oxbow's Ben Emerson

And Lamoille's Tim Messier will be a Hall of Fame Induction.
