Brattleboro Elks honors three students


BRATTLEBORO >> The Brattleboro lodge of elks recently honored three students from Brattleboro Union High School as its students of the month for September 2015.

Pictured left to right: Breanna Sheehan, grade 12, is the daughter of Anthony and Donna Sheehan of Putney. Breanna, is a member of two a cappella groups, plays soccer and lacrosse, involved in the Costa Rican exchange and National Honors Society and Athletic Leadership Council. She plays the saxophone, and plans to attend a four-year college and continue on to Medical School. Breanna is honored by the School White House for her integrity after finding a large sum of money on the floor and turning it in at the office.

Thomas Drummey, grade 9, is the son of Michael and Maureen Drummey of West Halifax. Thomas is a member of the Fishing and Robotics Club, and enjoys lacrosse. He enjoys woodworking and paintball challenges. His goals include attending a college for business management. Thomas was nominated by Mr. Haas of the Purple House for his citizenship and reaching out to a fellow student who isolated at lunch.

Peyton Eisler, grade 12, is the daughter of Eric Eisler of Pooler, Ga., and Kim Wenc of Wilmington. Peyton is a part of "Above the Influence." The Writing Club, National Honor Society, and enjoys running and writing and reading novels. Peyton was nominated by the Career Center.
