Brattleboro: Green Street School welcomes Nimbus dancers

Posted

BRATTLEBORO >> Green Street School welcomed Nimbus Dance Works of New Jersey from March 29 to 31 for a dance residency program.

The accomplished dancers led dance classes for each grade at the K-6 school, so children could experience new forms of learning and expression. The company presented a school day performance for all students, to the rapt attention of students and teachers.

The residency included after school rehearsals for an evening performance called Memo. Green Street School students, staff members, community members and the professional dancers together created a mesmerizing dance called Memo for a full audience of Green Street School families and the wider community.

This residency project with Nimbus Dance Works was generously funded by the Green Street School PTO. The PTO raises money for school-wide enrichment activities each year through the annual 5K race called the Tulip Trot. This year's race is Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m., registration beginning at 8:30 or at www.tuliptrot5k.com. All runners are invited to participate in this fun event while supporting the education of Green Street School students.
