Brattleboro prevails at Memorial Park


BRATTLEBORO — The Brattleboro Swim Team topped visiting Rockingham, 477-309, at Living Memorial Park. The Brattleboro girls prevailed 236-161 and the Brattleboro boys won 242-148.

Calvin Gould, Matt Brooks and Ben Connor all finished first in four individual races for the hosts. Gould won the 50 Fly, 50 Breast, 100 Breast and 100 IM; Brooks took the 50 Fly, 100 Fly, 100 Free and 100 IM; and Connor struck gold in the 50 Back, 50 Free, 100 Back and 100 Free.

Lillian Fisher, Kennedy Taylor and Isabelle Magbie all captured three events for the Brattleboro girls. Fisher triumphed in the 50 Fly, 50 Free and 100 Fly; Taylor touched the wall first in the 25 Breast, 50 Free and 100 IM; and Magbie was victorious in the 100 Free, 100 Back and 200 IM.

Also earning blue ribbons for BST were Drew Brooks, Parker Thibault, Isabella Thurber, Will Hill, Catey Yost, Andrew Prah, Lily Charkey, Sophia Mark, Matt Dulmaine, Kelsey Parker, Molly Schoales, Jordy Allembert, Grace Matweecha, Ernie Antonucci, Phelan Muller, Kayli Nicholson, Kali Taylor, Zachary DiZoglio and Yaya Cooper.

Brattleboro will compete at Queechee on Tuesday at 5 p.m. and BST's next home meet is scheduled for July 19 at 5 p.m.
