Editor of the Reformer:

The Jakefromstatefarm Junior Iron Chef team would like to thank: Jake Gallagly, Lonny Paige, Wings Community Program, Vermont FEED, Transcanada, and Cask n' Kiln for all your help and support through our competition. Without you, it wouldn't have been possible for us to cook.

Lonny, we love that you go out of your way, year after year, to make the Jr. Iron Chef program happen. In addition to making great meals for all of us at Twin Valley Middle/High School, you are a great educator. Transcanada: Not only do you keep that great water recreation going in the valley, but thank you for your continued support of the TVMHS Jr. Iron Chef program. Thank you Vermont FEED for putting on the Jr. Iron Chef competition and Wings for giving us the opportunity to discover health and creativity in cooking by celebrating local and seasonal foods. Renee and the staff at Cask n' Kiln: Thanks so much for our special night out and for supporting our team through the entire process. Our dinner was fabulous and we recommend that everyone try your great food and ambiance. You rock in our community!

Our most special thank you goes out to our coach and chef extraordinaire, Jake Gallagly. You took time out of your busy schedule to teach three aspiring "chefs" how to create a delicious healthy vegetarian dish. We have had so much fun working with you. Next stop: Cooking at the State House.

This cooking adventure has been an incredible experience.

Thanks again,

Rita Messing, Elaina Gibb-Buursma, and Kaylee Carson Team Jakefromstatefarm, 2016 Jr. Iron Chef, Vermont Middle School Crowd Pleaser Champs, April 5
