Brattleboro roadwork update

BRATTLEBORO -- Today, road surface milling is scheduled for Williams Street between Elliot Street and Brannan Street. Expect delays and alternating one lane traffic.

On Sept. 12, road surface milling on Bridge Street near the railroad tracks will begin at 4 a.m. Expect delays and alternating one-lane traffic. If all goes well, work should be complete before traffic gets heavy. When that is complete, milling will begin on Whipple Street and Bullock Street. Each road will be closed to through traffic while work takes place. Meanwhile, a second crew will be paving the section of Williams Street milled on Wednesday. Again, expect delays and one-lane traffic.

On Friday, Sept. 13, road paving on Bridge Street will begin at 4 a.m. Expect delays and alternating one-lane traffic. Following the completion of that work, resurfacing on Bullock Street and Whipple Street will begin. Both roads will be closed to through traffic. When that is done, resurfacing will begin on the top course of pavement on Marlboro Avenue. This street will also be closed to through traffic while being paved.

The schedule is tentative and could change if there is significant rain. There is more work planned for the following week on Old Ferry Road, Wellington Drive and Quails Hill Road.
