Brattleboro stickers improve to 2-1

Posted
BRATTLEBORO — Gracie Frost and Kharisma Boyd each had a goal and an assist to help the Brattleboro varsity field hockey team to a 4-0 victory over Fair Haven on Thursday.

Olivia Reihl and Kalin Noble also scored for the winners, while Olivia Stent added a dime.

The Colonels finished with a 14-8 advantage in shots on goal. Natalya Forkin and Kaylyn Bailey teamed up for the shutout, making a combined eight saves.

"Brattleboro started the game a little sluggish. The play was in Bratt's defensive end for the first part of the game. Brattleboro started moving the ball down the field and scored two first-half goals in four minutes. In the second half, Bratt played a much better all-around game and scored two more goals," said BUHS co-coach Sheryl Libardoni.

The 2-1 Colonels will play rival MAU next.
