BRATTLEBORO >> Nine area baton twirlers, all members of Brattleboro Area Baton Twirlers, recently travelled to South Bend, Ind. to represent Vermont at the 47th annual America's Youth on Parade which is the baton twirling National Championships. The contest ran from July 26-30 and was held on the University of Notre Dame campus. This contest, hosted by NBTA International, draws several thousand contestants annually from all 50 states, Canada and Europe. Age categories range from tots to collegiate levels, and includes categories for soloists as well as team divisions.
