Posted

As part of the celebration of their twentieth anniversary year, the Brattleboro Women's Chorus will present a concert of music composed entirely by founder/conductor, Becky Graber. Performances will be May 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Next Stage, 15 Kimball Hill, Putney and May 8 at 4 p.m. at Centre Congregational Church, 193 Main St., Brattleboro.

Most of the compositions are new, composed especially for this concert. Several of the pieces are Graber's original words. Others are poetry she has set to music, including "Sit By an Apple Tree" by Louise Erdrich, and "Winter's Harvest" by Jane Elsdon. The chorus of over 100 women will be accompanied by Cathy Martin on piano, Lisa McCormick on guitar, Jen Rice on marimba, Bill Ballard on alto sax, Connie Green on flute, and Maggie Smith on bells.

Tickets are available at the door, $12 adult, $20 generous, $10 student and senior. For more information, see www.BrattleboroWomensChorus.org or call 802-254-8994.
