Brattleboro's In-Sight hosts project fundraiser: 101 Donations
BRATTLEBORO — In-Sight Photography Project has unsealed its archives to reveal a treasure-trove of photographs that will be on exhibit for the month of March at the gallery at Hermit Thrush Brewery.
These prints — literally 101 of them — have been donated over the years by dozens of professional photographers in support In-Sight's scholarship fund. Each print in the exhibit is up for raffle with the drawing taking place at a public reception at Hermit Thrush on Thursday, March 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. Raffle tickets cost $10, or six for $50.
Tickets are available at three locations in Brattleboro: In-Sight Photography Project at 45 Flat St., open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Zephyr Designs at 129 Main St., open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Vermont Artisan Designs at 106 Main St., open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., open until 8 p.m. on Friday, open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday.
Participants purchase a ticket, fill out their name, address and phone, and then take the ticket to Hermit Thrush during open hours. After seeing the exhibit and making a choice, participants drop the ticket into the cup corresponding to the print they hope to win. With 101 prints in the show, chances are excellent.
Hermit Thrush Brewery is at 29 High St. in downtown Brattleboro and is open Monday through Thursday, 3 to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, noon to 8 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.

In-Sight will provide food and raffle tickets for sale at the March 24 drawing. Hermit Thrush will sell samples and pints of the beers brewed on site. Winning raffle tickets will be drawn for each print at 7:45 p.m., and if winners are there they can take the print home.
There is no charge to attend the reception, and raffle tickets and beer may be purchased a la carte. A special patron package is available in advance. For $75, patrons get a string of six raffle tickets, a pint, and a tour of the brewery. Tours are otherwise unavailable to the public that night. Patron packages are available only from In-Sight Photography Project, and may also be purchased online by visiting www.insight-photography.org/insight/support/101-donations-fundraising-raffle.
Proceeds from this event support In-Sight's mission of empowering youth to find their own creative voices and to communicate their unique personal visions through photography.
