Brown, Pancake win Friday games


BRATTLEBORO >> Brown Enterprise beat Dixon's Painters 75-67 and Pancake Design topped Brattleboro Ford/Subaru 87-63 in Friday's men's Rec basketball games at the Gibson-Aiken Center.

Craig McCollough (15 points), Troy Snell (11) and Winston Sailsman (10) were the top gums for Brown. Jeremy Thomas scored a game-high 16 points for the painters.

Six different players reached double figures for Pancake Design, led by Adam Margrave's 20 points. Shane Spivey and Ken Turner each buried three trifectas for the dealership.

On Sunday, Andrew Loney poured in a league-best 37 points in FTSP's 100-79 loss to Brattleboro Ford/Subaru. Other team-high scorers on Sunday were: Corey Bauer (Brattleboro Ford/Subaru) — 30 points, Joel Porter (Brattleboro Maullers) — 24 points, Adam Bernier-Sontag (Procut Lawncare) — 16 points, Kody Macelman (DMI) — 31 points, Casey Slate (GS Coating) — 27 points, Jamal Arnald (GS Precision) — 11 points, Colby Bonnette (Vermont Pressure Wash Painting) — 13 points, Nate Williams (Walker Farm) — 20 points, Dan Braden (Chadwick Law) — 17 points, and Lee McColgen (Green Mountain Creamery) — 14 points.
