BRATTLEBORO — Freshman Hanna Buedinger, of Vernon, started six of the Johnson State College volleyball team's 20 matches this fall.

The Pioneer Valley Regional School graduate finished her first season with two service aces, five kills, 21 assists and 23 digs. Her best performances were a 10-assist game versus Bay Path and her 10 digs against Paul Smith's College.

Buedinger played the libero position, meaning she was a defensive specialist.

The Badgers finished up with an 0-20 record, with their home matches being played against Norwich, Husson, Maine Maritime, Lyndon State and Southern Vermont. The team will graduate just two players, including Kali Covell of Hartford and Ashley Fogg of White River Junction.

Sophomore Kimberly Reville, of New York, paced Johnson State with 81 digs, 39 kills and 24 service aces. Buedinger's 21 assists were also a team high.
