BUHS girls lacrosse team splits with Mount Anthony


BENNINGTON -- The Brattleboro Union High School girls lacrosse team took care of rival MAU, 9-6, on Thursday.

Lizzie Clark racked up six goals to pace the winners. Hannah Lynde tallied twice and Megan "Dirt" Siggins also split the pipes. Marissa Semenovich finished with 10 saves for the 8-6 Colonels.

In another game that was finished by the two teams, the Patriots prevailed, 17-8. Emily Altman had a team-high five winners for the hosts. Cassidy Stebbins and Clark each had a hat trick for the Colonels, while Anna Burch found the back of the net twice.

Mount Anthony Union now has a 10-4 record.

Small Fry

BRATTLEBORO -- Charlie Clark, Joey Reynolds, Jack Surette and Will Hill all played well defensively as Dompier Electric defeated Cocoplum on Thursday. Cocoplum’s Dylan Sargent had his first hit of the season and teammate Jon Haskins also swung the bat well.
