BUHS girls zipped by Bulldogs

BRATTLEBORO — Hannah Pinkus scored 20 minutes into Thursday's varsity girls soccer game on Sawyer Field and defending state champion Burr and Burton went on to defeat host Brattleboro, 2-0.

BUHS sophomore Venus Fu did a fine job of marking the Bulldogs' star for most of the game. Megyn Ayotte made six saves for the Colonels and Kai Boyd had three scoring opportunities.

Brattleboro (1-7) will play at Hartford on Tuesday.
