BUHS Music Department presents their final event of the school year

The Brattleboro Union High School Music Department will present their final event of the school year with their annual Pops Concert on Wednesday, May 25 at 7 p.m. in the BUHS auditorium, Fairground Rd. No admission will be charged.

The concert band will open with an arrangement of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro (Overture). TheJazz Workshop will follow with three tunes including Curtis Fuller's Time Off, Low Rider by War and Hank Mobley's M&M. Eugene Uman and Rob Freeberg co-direct this ensemble. Madrigals will begin their set with the Norwegian Christmas song,Deilig er Jorden, by Frode Fjellheim as performed in the movie Frozen. The jazz band's program includes an arrangement of Steely Dan's Peg as well as I Can't Help It, The chorus closes the concert performing a medley from Motown, the "Musical." Patty Meyer directs the chorus and Madrigals. Stephen Rice leads the concert band and jazz band. For information: 802-451-3511.
