BUHS tennis starts on road


BRATTLEBORO -- Tony Acevedo is the only returning top five singles player for the Brattleboro boys tennis team, which will open up at Bellows Falls on Wednesday, April 9, at 4:30 p.m.

"We have a low number of players. The returning players give us some experience to work with," said BUHS coach Justin Duncan. "We have good enthusiasm. It looks to be a rebuilding year. I hope to see us have some success in the league."

The home opener for the Colonels will take place on April 21, when they host Rutland at 4:30 p.m.

Roster: Coach -- Justin Duncan. Returning players -- Tony Acevedo, Lachlan Francis, Nicholas Ahlgren, Gideon May, Jake Gartenstein, Spencer Butter. Newcomers -- Mateo Vallejo Grande, Nick Hallock, Spencer Loggia, Jonathon Grady, Dominic Rossi.
