Bulldogs beat Colonels, 1-0


MANCHESTER >> The Brattleboro Union High School varsity field hockey team fell to host Burr and Burton, 1-0, on Monday.

Charleigh Carthy scored the game winner for the 4-5-3 Bulldogs 11 minutes before halftime. Hannah Hedberg and Rachel Tegen were credited with assists.

BBA had a 22-2 advantage in penalty corners. Goalie Molly Dingley made one stop to earn the shutout.

"Olivia Weeks had a grest game in goal, saving nine shots on goal and shutting out Burr and Burton in the second half," said Colonels co-coach Sherryl Libardoni. "Bratt put the pressure on in the last five minutes, but couldn't get the equalizer."
